Myanmar Rattan and Bamboo Entrepreneurs Association (MRBEA)
MRBEA is the leading organisation in Myanmar that connects the world with the rattan and bamboo handicraft sector, by fostering networking with potential international buyers and other organisations. The association has 346 members – 65 corporate members and 281 personal members. It acts as a governing organisation by setting up guidelines for quality standards and social responsibility for its members, and regulations for design protection. As the representative organisation of the sector, MRBEA also contributes to policy shaping to promote the rattan and bamboo industry in Myanmar’s socioeconomic and environmental development policies. MRBEA also provides a variety of services for international buyers: By carefully vetting its member companies, MRBEA can connect international buyers to a range of reliable and trustworthy suppliers. MRBREA offers information on rules and regulations, customs, logistics, and how to do business in Myanmar. If an international buyer is looking to order high volumes, MRBEA can facilitate collaboration and help expand the capacity in the various village production units.

We, TK-INTERIORS, have nearly 15-year experience in producing & exporting rattan products & accessories and furniture (unique handicraft). The EU is our main overseas destination with The Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium being the key markets. We also send our products to as far as US. The raw material (Rattan) is collected from vendors in the Tanintharyi region, and Kachin and Rakhine States. We have a 30,000-sq.ft factory in Mingaladon Township and all the finished products are done there. Semi-Products are subcontracted to our talented craftsmen in Ayeyarwaddy region. Our company mainly focuses on producing quality products including wicker and accessories, furniture (handicraft) as well as wooden furniture and carvings both for oversea and domestic markets. At the same time, we are running a sale centre of wooden furniture and carvings in Dawei , Tanintharyi region. We emphasize the importance of selling the benefits and features of the product rather than the product itself.
